Kauker 2: Round 19

Last round, the Kaukers fully entered the teenage years as both Gemini and Libra entered high school. Between the birthday parties, the family also hosted Harvestfest dinner for Galaxy's family.

Um...hey, Gemini...

Gemini: Oh, hi Mysterious Voice.

Any reason you're doing your homework outside...in the dark?

Gemini: I'm trying to get ahead on it-Libra and I are going on a double date later.

Ahh...I see. Mind if I ask who with? As the town narrator I need to know these things.

Gemini: You know the Palmer twins down the street?

You've got to be more specific, Gemini. There's like 3 sets of Palmer twins...

Gemini: (sigh) Mark and Harrison...

Oh...well, that's certainly convenient...

Gemini: Sorry we're a little late...um...you wanna maybe head out back?

Huh...this might just work out.

Mark: Hey, I've got an idea...how about we go down to that library we used to hang out at when we were kids?

Wow, no one's gone there in forever...

Libra: How about a game on the arcade machine?

Harrison: Um...I have to get to scouts. If I skip Carrie will rat me out.

Libra: Oh...ok. How about after the meeting?

Harrison: Well, you know, we'll probably both be all smelly and stuff...

Libra: Do you think Harrison really likes me?

Gemini: Sure...I guess.

Libra: You don't think he seemed a little...off?

Gemini: I don't know...off from what? He's always been a little strange.

Libra: I guess...

Wow, I guess the good luck is continuing around here. Yeah, let's film the stand up special...

Oh, right...Egg Fest is today. Not really as exciting with two teenagers in the house...

Libra: Look, I know you're like...part of the holiday, or whatever, but do you have to hang out here all day?

Galaxy: How did the filming go?

Leanna: Amazing! I've got so many gigs lined up...my first one's tonight down at the lounge.

Galaxy: Wow...going on tour already.

Leanna: I don't think the river district really counts as a tour...

Galaxy: Sure it does. And your supportive husband is coming along with you!

Well, nobody appears to be booing her so I guess it's going well...although from the looks of things the venue forgot to turn on the heat.

Well, since everything is going swimmingly with the parents, I guess I'll go check on the lovebirds...

So, is there a reason you two are having your date at the old abandoned mansion? I can't imagine that this is the most romantic setting...

I guess I stand corrected...

Libra: You got another gig tonight?

Leanna: Yes, this one's down by the movie studio. I'd ask your father to come along again but he's up for a big promotion at work...

Libra: What if we go with you?

Leanna: Would you mind? You two don't have dates tonight or anything?

Libra: Are you kidding? Of course we won't mind...

Gemini: Woo! Go Mom!

Nothing like family support...

And I guess that extra time at work paid off for Galaxy.

And I see we finally got our video game party after all...who's winning?

Gemini: Ugh...I was until you interrupted me!

Libra: Sorry about my sister, she gets real competitive.

Harrison: It's ok. Mark and I do too...twin thing, I guess. I mean, I know you two aren't...it's just that...oh, man, I'm really screwing this up...

Libra: Will you relax? You're doing fine...I think you're cute.

Harrison: Really?

Libra: Yeah, really...

All right, well, now that we've got two happy couples it's just about time for me to be on my way. I'll see all of you next round!

A Message from the Mysterious Voice: Not too much going on here, I know. It was really challenging to find stuff to screenshot on this lot-it was just a lot of dating. The girls really do make cute couples with Mark and Harrison, though. (And judging by the way the timing of Island Living will work out, their next few dates will be much more picturesque.

Lytle 2: Round 19

Last round, Sprite was getting a bit fed up with her little sister tagging along with her-especially as she began her first romantic relationship with Hank Palmer. Snapple, meanwhile, continued to work on her scouting badges, while Marylin and Moss continued to advance in their respective careers.

Hey, guys! How's it going?

Snapple: Guess what? Only one more day and I'm gonna be a teenager like you!

Sprite: (sigh) I know, Snapple. You've told me 5 times this morning.

I see...and I can tell Snapple isn't excited at all...

Snapple: Mom, is it time to go yet?

Marylin: Not yet, honey...

Snapple: But what if there's traffic?

Traffic? You guys don't drive anywhere. How do you know what traffic is?

Snapple: I don't know...I just know it makes people late to stuff.

Ok, ok...let's just go already...

And I see we're back at the arcade...

Snapple: It's still too cold to go to the park.

Yeah, guests freezing to death tend to put a damper on things.

Happy birthday, dear Snapple...

Huh...that's a new one.

And not too bad in the hair department, either. A new outfit is in order, though...

Marylin: Come on, honey...let's open your presents now.

Snapple: Guys, can I just open them in peace, please?

And she's already completely embarrassed by her parents.

So are you ditching Scouts for drama club?

Snapple: Not yet...I still like scouts too. Besides, I'm so far along in it that it seems silly to walk away now. But that doesn't mean I can't practice...

What are you working on?

Moss: A little family surprise...

You're getting a puppy...

Moss: Not exactly...

You're getting two puppies?

I guess they are...this should be interesting...

Glad to see you followed the naming theme with the dogs.

Sprite: Who's a good puppy? Who's a good puppy?

And here I was thinking that things would be getting dull around here...

Marylin: Good boy, Slushie...just go in the bush...it's right there...

I don't think he's looking for a bathroom, Marylin...

Oh, I guess Smoothie beat him to it.

And that means that Slushie should be aging up too...

Hopefully soon...we've got Love Day to attend to.

There we go...

And wow...he got big.

Guys, I don't think Love Day applies to dogs...did anyone remember to um...fix them?

I guess we'll have to wait to find out. It's birthday party time.

And of course all the teenage girls congregate in the bathroom for some reason...

Happy birthday, dear Sprite...

Not bad. And having a neat Sim around always helps out.

Snapple: Are you feeling ok, girl?

Depends on what you mean by "ok"...looks like we're about to have some puppies!

At least Slushie is an attentive father...

Ok, still sticking with the theme...

And Snowcone isn't exactly a beverage, but I guess it's close enough...

And they actually are both a pretty good combo of their parents.

Moss: Hey, Forest...thanks for coming over. Hunter's on his way too.

Forest: Of course...aww, are those the puppies?

Moss: Yeah, so...you like them?

Forest: Of course, who doesn't love puppies...wait a minute...

Moss: Look, guys...you've gotta take them. There's no way we can have 4 dogs in this house.

Forest: I don't know...that one seems kind of aggressive...

Hunter: Yeah, and besides, I've still got two toddlers at home...what about Emerald and Pine?

Moss: Well, Emerald already has a dog...and Pine has those 3 weird-looking cats...

You'd better hope there aren't any more surprises around here.

Moss: Please, guys?

Hunter: Well, ok...but I'm taking the brown one. He seems less...bitey.

Forest: (sigh) Ok. Let me just call Anna and warn her.

Well, I can't wait to get to your houses and see how this goes over. Which reminds me, it's just about time for me to be moving on. I'll see you guys next round-hopefully after a trip to the vet clinic for a little operation...

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: Our first successful pet breeding! I've actually been trying to breed an animal since Cats and Dogs came out, but it's much harder to do when both animals don't live together. Snowcone did in fact go to Forest's house, and Milkshake went to Hunter's. (I don't know if Slushie and Smoothie will continue to breed, since Moss is now out of siblings to give animals to.)
