Kauker 3: Round 21

Last round, Keeley and Asteroid ended up going on an unconventional honeymoon when Asteroid took his nieces and their cousins to an alien world for the week. He and Keeley managed to have a decent time too, and they were sure to bring back some presents for Asteroid's alien son Clorox.

Hi, guys!

Asteroid: Oh, hey mysterious voice.

Glad to see you guys made it back from the town meeting ok...

Keeley: Yeah...that was...some meeting.

Asteroid: Eh, I don't see what all the big fuss is about. I mean, so babies are going to move around now. Big deal...

Keeley: Big deal? Asteroid, do you have any idea how much more work having a kid is going to be now? We have to really think about if we're ready...

Asteroid: Oh, come on, Keeley...we're more than ready...

Whoa! You may be, but I'm not!

And right on cue...

Yeah, if you're going to have a second kid a job is probably a good idea.

Keeley: Clorox! Stop splashing! You're making a mess!

Yeah...that's what toddlers do.

Keeley: I just don't know how I'm going to do this with...him and the new one at the same time.

I mean, you do have a husband...

Although maybe it's best we keep the kids away from whatever he's doing.

Yeah, getting out of the house is probably a good idea.

Aww, what a sweet reunion for these two surprise uni babies. Do you think they remember that they were born in the same house?

What? I didn't know you had a mother...

Keeley: Of course I have a mother. I mean, I didn't just come out of thin air.

Ok, fair point. But I didn't know she lived nearby...

Keeley: Mom, what are you doing?

Alisa: What? I wanted to blend in?

Keeley: (sigh) Whatever...listen, Mom, have you heard about this...new baby thing?

Alisa: Oh, yeah...it's all over the news. I don't know what everyone's all worked up about. I mean, everyone got all in a tizzy when toddlers first happened and look-no problems whatsoever.

Well, there is the problem of bedtime...

Asteroid: What? A midnight movie here and there never hurt anyone.

Yeah, but if you sleep through the birth Keely just might.

I see we're doing this at home...

It's a girl! Welcome to the family, Downy!

Aww, she's cute...

Clorox: Mama! Mama! Where's the baby?

Keely: She's right in here...

Clorox: I wanna see!

Keely: See? This is your little sister...now come on and get your coat on. We've got to let her sleep while you go to play group...

Oh, good. Let's leave the newborn alone with her sleep-deprived father.

And I guess that midnight movie wasn't the best idea after all.

What? Already? It's been like, a day...

Although it is just in time to have another guest for Harvestfest dinner...

Ok, here we go...looks like we got lucky with the trait...

...

Yeah, I'd snap a picture of that too...

Aww...she's adorable...but I think a new outfit might be in order.

There we go...

Clorox: Do you like dinosaurs? I like dinosaurs. My favorite's the triceratops. What's yours?

Downy: (coos)

Clorox: How come you don't talk?

She can't talk yet, Clorox. She's not quite as big as you.

Keely: Ok...well, here we go I guess. Um...what do I do with her now?

Well, she looks tired...

Keely: Oh, yeah...I hope Asteroid's done setting up that crib thing...

Ok, those jammies are adorable...

Nice job on the crib, Asteroid.

Asteroid: Thanks. Check it out-I installed this remote control music thing. It lets me start a lullaby from across the room!

I guess having an engineer for a dad has its benefits.

Oh, right...Harvestfest. I almost forgot...

Asteroid: Universe...take off the stupid bag...

Universe: Hey, it's your neighborhood rules...

Poe: Oh, hey there little peanut...

Andromeda: Is she gonna eat dinner with us?

Asteroid: Um....I...don't know if she can...

Galaxy: I still say I can taste the difference...

Poe: Well, you know. Asteroid's been a vegetarian for years...I think he knows his way around a tofurkey.

Galaxy: Let's hope he doesn't try to feed it to that baby...

No, but it does look like we're trying pumpkin...

Asteroid: Ok...here we go...

I think we have a pumpkin fan...

Even if most of it didn't exactly make it in her mouth.

Keely: How did you even get this much on you?

Yeah, the bottle is probably a less messy option...

At least one of them will be able to bathe himself soon.

Asteroid: Come on, Downy, it's time for your...ugh! What happened to her?

Looks like the diaper couldn't hold...

Asteroid: Um...you didn't mention that during the meeting...

Ok, well, all the more reason to get one out of diapers once and for all. Happy birthday, dear Clorox...

And of course I missed the age up screen, but he seems to have grown up pretty nice.

Clorox: What are you looking at, anyway?

Downy: (coos)

Clorox: Ugh...that's all you ever do.

Clorox: Here. I'm too big for this now. You take it.

I think that might be a bit too sharp for an infant, Clorox, but it's still a nice gesture.

Asteroid: Ok, let's get you all cleaned up...I could have sworn we just did this an hour ago...

Asteroid: You're tired already?

Yeah...she's going to need a lot of naps

And it looks like she's inherited the dollhouse from Clorox.

Clorox: Yeah, I'm way too big for this now. She can have it...

Well, I think you guys have got a handle on things for now, so I guess I'll be on my way...

Keely: Shh! Look! She's asleep!

Ahh, so she is...alright, I'll see myself out then. I'll see you guys next round!

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: Infants are here! And man, are they adorable...and I can only imagine how much more the new systems in Growing Together are going to add. (Hopefully, this will make up for the fact that these guys didn't get a real post last round.) I could not take my eyes off of Downy once she aged up-she was just too cute!
