Kauker 1: Round 12

Last round, Arielle and Cirrus Kauker completed their family with the addition of a daughter, Universe, who joined sons Galaxy and Planet. All three soon found themselves confronting monsters under their beds, and hatched a plan to catch the beast once and for all. Unfortunately, soon Galaxy aged into a teenager and found himself too old for such diversions. Meanwhile, Arielle and Cirrus opted into the community-wide challenge which allowed them to progress in their careers.

Oops, sorry about that Galaxy. You just look so much like your dad.

Planet: Ha ha! You look old!

Galaxy: Don't laugh too much. Pretty soon you'll grow up too.

Planet: Not too soon!

Universe: Mom, can Planet and I go down to the kids' center today?

Arielle: I guess so. Who else is going?

Universe: Oh, just a few other kids...

I should say so! It looks like you brought half the town with you! (Man, there are a lot of kids this round...)

Wait...who's Max?

Universe: Oh, you don't know him. He goes to school with us. He's always in trouble.

So why are you hanging out with him?

Universe: Eh, I don't know. He just always shows up when all of us go somewhere.

That llama game looks like fun.

Planet: It's so much fun! Can we have one of these at home?

Um...we'll see what your mom says.

Planet: What about this? Can we have one of these at home?

No, you guys don't have a big enough yard. Or $3,000.

Universe: Aww...

Hey, I think we actually have time to do this one right...

Happy birthday, dear Arielle...

Congrats.

Arielle: Thanks.

You guys still haven't moved that thing into the house yet?

Galaxy: I kind of like having it out here.

Planet: Besides, if we leave this out here than we can get the llama game...

Galaxy: Will you give it a rest with that? You're going to be too old for it soon anyway.

Planet: There's a grown up version too! I saw it!

Hmm...let's do investor this time.

Congratulations, Cirrus.

Cirrus: Thanks.

Planet: Monster! The monster's back!

Not this again...

I thought this was done...

Cirrus: You and me both.

Planet: Galaxy, the monster came back!

Galaxy: Ugh, Planet, go back to bed! There's no such thing as a monster!

Planet: Yes there is too! You saw it! I'm going to go wake Universe up. She'll still believe me!

Ahh, I see we're breaking out the romance club again.

Galaxy: I heard it's a good way to meet people.

Huh...I've seen Leanna around but I don't think I've seen Bridgette...

Leanna: So, what else is there to do around here?

Galaxy: You play chess?

Leanna: Just barely. I'm not very good.

Galaxy: That's ok. I can teach you...

I think I see some potential here.

So how's that monster trap coming along?

Planet: We still haven't gotten it to work.

Have you thought about what to do with the monster after you catch him?

Universe: Huh...you know, I never thought about that.

Planet: Maybe we can sell him to the museum.

Universe: Yeah! We can be famous!

Universe: But mom, it will only be for one night!

Arielle: For the last time, no. You two cannot stay up all night. You need to go to bed.

Planet: But we need to stay up to catch the monster! One of us needs to work the trap, and the other needs to hold the bait!

And what exactly are you using as monster bait?

Universe: Spinach.

Planet: Only monsters would like spinach.

Aww, I'm kind of sad to see him grow up. Looks like Universe is losing her last monster hunt partner.

Happy birthday, dear Planet...

Man, you two are excited for this...

Bestselling author...we haven't had that one in awhile.

Not bad looking, either.

Planet: Thanks...I guess.

Universe: Did you hear Max got in trouble at school again?

Poe: He's always in trouble at school. What did he do this time?

Universe: He tried to trade Voidcritters in class and the teacher took them away!

Leanna: Hey, you guys are into Voidcritters? Who's your favorite?

Poe: You like Voidcritters?

Universe: But...you're old!

Leanna: I'm not that old!

So, you're getting paid to play video games?

Arielle: Yeah, pretty great, huh?

I can think of worse ways to make a living.

Aww, looks like Galaxy's found a girlfriend!

Oh, good. We haven't had a fire in awhile.

Cirrus: Ok, everybody to the other side of the house. I'll just...let's see...um...

Put it out?

Cirrus: Right...put it out...

Looks like big brother has got this under control.

Cirrus: Thanks for that, Galaxy. You really saved the day there.

Galaxy: No problem, Dad. But you might want to practice with the fire extinguisher before I move out.

Pine: Hey, Universe. Why are you all by yourself?

Universe: It's not fair! Planet and Galaxy don't want to hang out with me anymore now that they're in high school.

Pine: It's ok. Forest and Moss don't hang out with us anymore either. Want to play pirates with us?

Universe: Ok, I guess so.

Aww, don't worry Universe. You'll join them soon enough. But unfortunately, that will have to wait for next round. It's time for me to be on my way!

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: I was really sad to see Planet grow up. He and Universe were really cute together. I'm also really glad I built the children's center; I'm getting a lot of use out of that lot. It's not much-basically a lobby, two bathrooms, and one room each for toddlers and big kids. But bringing a bunch of kids there and letting them play "Don't Wake the Llama" or shoot basketball outside has become my go-to way to make friends. I never played with the game table before making this lot-I also had no idea it built motor skill.
